Royston Talks; 30 Mins for 30 Days

To help you navigate these challenging times I’m holding daily Facebook Lives on a variety of relevant topics. If you missed them don’t worry, you can still tune into the latest videos. Don’t forget to join my private Facebook Group - Royston Talks: 2020 Business Reset – where you can access articles, content and templates on 2020 business reset.

Every minute that you spend working on your business is a small 1% gain. If you keep creating 1% gains they will multiply.

All great habits start with the discipline and ritual of repetition.

The best way to start a habit is to bite-size your goals into mini-goals. If you allocate 30 minutes every day for 30 days to work on your goal, you will move one step closer each day to achieving that goal.

Once you build enough momentum these marginal gains will become habit. Once a habit is formed it is harder to break.

Within most businesses, there is a phenomenal opportunity to remove costs out of the business. Whether those costs are; people, resources, efficiency, subscriptions and more.

By reviewing your cost base you will be able to find savings that do not impact performance or service delivery. You do not need a pandemic to drive you to review your cost base, this should be an exercise you do throughout the year.

Take care of the pennies and the pounds look after themselves.

We are stronger working together.

As a leader, you need to be a pragmatic optimist. In a challenging environment optimism alone will have people thinking that you are delusional and not grounded in reality.

However, if you have only got pragmatism with no optimism, then people will not will not be inspired by your words or actions.

Both optimism and pragmatism have to work in unison.

You need to be grounded in the real world and confront reality head-on (pragmatist), while looking for the opportunity within the difficulty (optimist).

Surround yourself with pragmatic optimists.

We are stronger working together.
