Lack of communication Is the achilles heel of most organisations, yet, it is one of the most phenomenal opportunities that we have to get clarity in our communication plans and style.

Does everyone within your team understand where they are and feel that the communication within the organisation is strong? Do they understand the why, what and how of the business?

You can’t communicate enough, especially when leading remotely. The reason why is that people forget and people do not always listen to understand; they listen to hear or respond.

All of us need to make sure that when communicating with customers, clients or our team that we are communicating with clarity; we do not want to be using jargon, use simple language that resonates with everyone.

We are stronger working together.

‘If you get the behaviours right then the outputs will take care of themselves.’ – Royston Guest

This is easier to achieve in a traditional environment where you have got everyone working within the same building and you are visible and hands-on with your people. When leading remotely this is a great deal more challenging.

When leading remotely the focus needs to change, you need to focus on the outputs that are delivered because you can’t always measure the inputs. Working days are not always the standard 9-5; our days are stretched.

You cannot measure success by seeing if your team are online within their hours, you measure success by the quality of the outputs delivered.

We are stronger working together.
