The strategic purpose of a business is to attract, maximise and retain customers; everything which contributes to this is an investment but everything that doesn’t is a cost.
As part of your rebound plan, you need to ensure that you have the right customers. When both you and your customers’ values match all the major problems become minor. If there is a misalignment in values then all the minor problems become major.
The right customers stay, say and pay; they STAY as loyal customers, they SAY great things about you and they PAY on time. These are the right type of customers for your business.
As part of your 2020 business reset try and ensure that you cut out those ‘emotional vacuum clients’ they are the ones that take up all of your time, want everything for nothing and have misaligned values.

Which camp do you fall into?
Are you the stay at home grafter (TED Talks) or are you at home taking it easy (Netflix)?
Whether you are working from home or you have been furloughed, have you taken your foot off of the gas or have you accelerated through this pandemic with productivity and hard work?
What you put into your work and self-development now will either set yourself up for success or it will come back and bite you.
Put in the hard graft now and fully accelerate into your weeks and days. Be the most productive person you can be.
In a remote working environment your diary might fill up fast with call after call, everything back to back with little or no time in between. Because you are working from the same place – you are not moving between different rooms – you may find that by the end of the day you’ve not even give yourself time to make a cup of coffee.
When remote working make sure you are driving your workload and your workload is not driving you.
